I have been updating my webpage almost daily for many years. Remember North Kingsville Elementary? That's when the district made teacher webpages available to the community. I have included details about assignments and announcements. I will continue to update this page if there are those using it. Please e-mail me if you would like these detailed daily updates. Due yesterday: One paragraph response to "A Retrieved Reformation." Who called out "Ralph" near the end of the story? Finish that person's story. OR Explain Ben Price's actions at the end of the story. Finish his story. Resubs due 1.24.19.
Due Friday was a one-paragraph response to one of these three choices: Favorite, Resolution, Character. The paragraph is the FINAL response to the book A Christmas Carol. Students may resub this piece by 1.22.
Reading: Students wrote a three-paragraph comparative analysis. Paragraph one: Topic sentence plus similarities between the two media; paragraph two: transition sentence plus differences between the two media; paragraph three: evaluation of the decisions made by the director and actor to remain faithful to (similarities) or depart from (differences) the text version. I have recorded what parts of the video each class viewed. Students are responsible for only those portions we viewed in class.
English Festival: Several students are involved in the English Festival to be held at KSUAC next March. The next book is Hour of the Bees. We will meet again Wednesday next week. Excellent discussion with students who have started/finished the book. We are in the planning stages of the 2nd Annual Braden Mini-fest. More to come.
