The Buckeye Local School District utilizes PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports.) PBIS is a proactive approach that schools use to improve school safety and promote positive behavior. The focus of PBIS is prevention, not punishment. At Braden Middle School, we utilize

Students at Braden Middle School earn Bulldog Bucks from their teachers for displaying PRIDE behaviors, which are then put into a random weekly drawing for a variety of prizes. Please help us in trying to encourage PRIDE behaviors within your students at home as well. You can view further information regarding PBIS at home here.
Encore Classes
Student’s encore (special) class changes to the next rotation on December 14th. Student’s next encore class can be found on their schedule under ‘3rd 7 Week Course.
2nd Grading Period
The 2nd grading period ends on Thursday, January 13th. Please ensure that you are checking your student’s Google Classroom assignments and grades on Progressbook. If you need assistance with Progressbook, please give us a call in the office. Additionally, please assist us in

First Quarter Awards:
We will be having an academic awards assembly for the first quarter by grade level during
student's encore class period on Friday,November 12th. We will be live streaming the
assemblies for families to login and be able to view. Details regarding the live stream will be
shared out closer to the assembly date.
Second Quarter:

PTO Sponsored Tailgate:
Thank you to the PTO, parents and local organizations who donated to make this event a
success! We greatly appreciate the efforts made by all who made this event a fun and safe
environment for our students!
PTO Sponsored Fun Run:
BMS PTO invites family and friends to join in helping raise funds for other fun and educational
activities for the students throughout the year. Each student will raise funds by asking family
and friends to sponsor them to participate in the fun run or walk here at school. Sponsors can
pledge with a flat donation. Students and classes will have an opportunity to earn prizes
based on their participation in the fun run. Donations can be made in cash, check (written
to Braden PTO) or donated online via square at this link.
2021 Junior Cavs Warrior Winter Basketball League
Divisions:
Grades 1-2 (Will play on 8ft. Hoops)
Grades 3-4
Grades 5-6
Teams will be Co-ed. Coaches and Volunteers are needed!
Time: Games will begin at 1:00 PM.
Cost: $60 per player (Paid online through Pay-Pams)
Schedule of Events:
Tryout Date/Draft: Sunday, November 21st
(Grades 1-2 12:00-1:00), (Grades 3-4 2:00-3:00), (Grades 5-6 4:00-5:00)
Practice Dates: November 28 and December 5 (Schedule TBD) –
Game Schedule on 8 Sundays will be as follows:

Students of the Month:
Braden Middle School formally recognizes one student per grade level each month as Student
of the Month. Students of the Month at BMS exhibit the following qualities: is self motivated,
goes beyond basic expectations in the classroom, shows above average effort, works hard and is persistent. Prospective student’s of the month display initiative, honesty, respect, responsibility and compassion. Students show willingness to help peers and act as a leader and a role model in the building.

World Kindness Day
November 13th is World Kindness Day! Braden Middle School students will be discussing a variety of topics surrounding kindness during their advisory period. Check out this article on Parents.com regarding reinforcing a culture of kindness at home.
